A: LVD is primarily focused on documenting 1) The NZ underground, 2) American outsider free-folk, 3) Japanese Psych-rock, 4) The on-going European 'freak-out'.
Q2: Can I send you promos?
A: Yes, but sending promo discs does not guarantee the disc will be listened to. Promos are discouraged unless you are already familiar with the LVD catalog and feel your music belongs to our family of releases.
Q3: When will xxxxxxxxx come out?
A: CDs are released at about a rate of one per month, but the order of releases is sometimes changed at the last minute to support touring artists. In short, unless a title is already under production it is very hard to say precisely when it will become available.
Q4: Can you help book my show in Providence?
A: I don't book shows. I strongly suggest contacting AS220 which is currently the best venue in Providence for non-mainstream acts.
Q5: What happened to the CD-R catalog?
A: All CD-Rs were discontinued at the end of 2004. Please do not ask for them!
Q6: I'm from a store or distributor, can we purchase CDs from you directly?
A: Yes, please send an e-mail for wholesale rates, etc.
Q7: How do I receive promo copies?
A: LVD maintains a promo list, such that when a new release comes out, people on the list are serviced. LVD does not send out specific titles upon request (you are always welcome to purchase them...) To remain on the list you must service LVD through playlists, reviews, etc.
